Saturday, September 27th, we celebrated Jeremy's cousin, Elle's, 4th birthday. She had her party at her grandparents farm in Enumclaw. There was a pony, a goose, bunnies, a pinata and all the normal birthday stuff. It was a wonderful party. Shannon, you can see your influence in a couple of the pictures.
"Family began when two fell in love." This blog reveals a part of our story. It is my personal thoughts, images, and recordings that is a way for our village to travel alongside with us through this life. It will also be the way my immediate family can look back and remember the lives we lead together.

San Diego Trip - September 2008
Because of Michelle's previous work experience at Sea World, we were able to get behind scenes at the sea lion, walrus and otter show. This was a definite highlight.
Playing with Michelle at the Park
San Diego Zoo
Our trip to San Diego was interesting. We did such fun things. It was all in the midst of getting no sleep and being exhausted. Mommy doesn't do well without sleep, so I felt like a zombie walking amidst all of these wonderful experiences. Highlights were Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, Date Night (Michelle took Abby while Jer and I had a wonderful dinner in La Jolla), seeing Michelle, fajitas in Old Town, going to the beach and the park.
Portland International Raceways
Jeremy's dad is officially a race car driver. He drives this 1968 BMW 2002. Although a rookie, he is top of his class and has been written up in vintage car magazines. The family went down to Portland for the weekend to watch him race. We had a lot of fun. His brother made us all these t-shirts, which say "Go Dog Racing." It's all pretty cool.
Cookies
A mother's dream: to bake cookies with her little kids. This was our first time baking cookies together. She helped dump the ingredients in the bowl. Daddy LOVES to make cookies as well. His face lights up everytime I suggest it. I have learned it's mostly because he wants to eat the cookie dough. Who can blame him?
Random Abigail
Our child does not fail to crack us up. She has some weird idiosyncrasies right now that I will list below. I'd love to know what's going on in that brain of hers half the time. She's a weird one. Our child won't drink much water from a sippy cup. Give her something with a straw, and she's all over it. However, she's kind of been into spitting the water out at times too. She is very good at saying the word "water," but it always comes in multiples..."Water, Water, Water."
Trying to get this ball stuck in her mouth provided a lot of entertainment.
Since she was a lot younger, she was always good at balancing things on her head. I say, "concentrate," and she just holds still trying to balance.
Lately, she sticks everything cord, rope, string, belt, bra, scarf...anything around her neck and walks around.
This is her sticking the garbage cord around her neck and somehow getting it wrapped around her bottom as well. She's also been really into pushing empty garbage cans around the house. Whenever I empty the garbages, I will find her roaming around the house with the empties.
Abigail now looks for anything her height to sit on. She backs up, looking over her shoulder to check the distance, and slowly sits down. This is directly after a bath.
