Kenzie is officially five months old. She continues to delight us. Her personality is beginning to show, and she definitely is growing up. She is grabbing at everything and enjoys having toys in her hand and her mouth. When you put her on her belly, she tries to crawl or rolls over. She sat up for the first time right before her 5 month birthday. We always have to be near, of course, but she's doing well. She went through a rougher patch where she was crying a bit more, but we think it may be the beginning signs of teething. She also had a really rough go of sleeping..ugh. We were up every 2-3 hours for a few weeks. The last two nights she has only been up once a night, which is much better. We are starting to let her cry it out in bed. She has adapted to that well and falls asleep after a maximum of 15 minutes, which is nice. She loves to see faces and interact with people. She can be crying but gets a huge grin on her face if you simply pay her some attention. She has found her toes, tries to flex her tummy to sit up, "talks," rolls and wants to eat our food. Eating has been pretty good. We're supplementing about 4 ounces a day at night.
"Family began when two fell in love." This blog reveals a part of our story. It is my personal thoughts, images, and recordings that is a way for our village to travel alongside with us through this life. It will also be the way my immediate family can look back and remember the lives we lead together.

Lake Chelan 2009
Chelan is always a fun time. We were lucky enough to "camp" at an air conditioned house with a pool overlooking the lake. That's my kind of camping. We went down to the camp site a lot to be with the entire family, which is what it is really about. We also stayed with Jeremy's aunt and uncle (who are our age). They have Ellie and Audrey, which kept Abigail happy. Abigail would wake up every morning asking for Ellie, Audrey and the pool. She always wanted to be in the pool and had no fear. She'd jump in and swim around with her little swim jacket on. Kenzie decided not to sleep well, which mad it a bit more challenging. Vacationing with kids definitely changes things, but we had fun. We were able to get out biking one day and jet skiing another. Jeremy had a day of golfing too, and we had a date night. We spent a lot of time in the pool.
Monterey Trip
Jer knows how much I love the Porsche, so he took a bunch of pics for me of Porsche Roadsters and Speedsters.
Jer wanted to have a focus for his photography, so he took pictures of front grills with the emblems. It made for some really cool pictures and the potential for a great photo collage.
